Angleton advances after playing a best of 3 series with Barbers Hill today . Final score Angleton 9 Barbers Hill 8. All 3 games only won by 1 run. Depending on what poll you look at most of the year it has either been Angleton or Barbers Hill at the #1 spot. Glad they got a chance to play on the field and not just on paper. What a series and hope Angleton can keep it going.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the last time Angleton softball won state in 5A, which was then the highest classification; I seem to recall they beat an El Paso team in the finals. I hope they can do it again.

Angleton wins 7-6 against last years state champions. Not bad when you consider that Forney had been averaging a 10-1 win in the playoffs. On to the championship game!

Final standings 1-10 1 Angleton 2 Barbers Hill 3 College Station 4 Forney 5 Calallen 6 Hallisvile 7 Boswell 8 Little Elm 9 Friendswood 10 Flour Bluff
I think 3 and 4 should be flipped. Other than that that's a solid top 5 order. And takes.
