I highly doubt it would be a 3-game playoff. Both teams will have bi-district playoffs starting next weekend. I don’t think either coach would want to use up that many pitchers just to decide playoff seedings. If it is a playoff, it would probably be a 1-gamer on Saturday or possibly Monday. Either way, both teams will be co-district champions. Calallen has a game scheduled for Saturday, to me I would just flip a coin, 1 seed versus 2 does not really matter the way the brackets are laid out. Looking at it, the 2 seed might be a better route through the playoffs. That would make the most sense. Playoff games for seedings should only be reserved for the tie for the last spot. And at the end of the day, you are either going to move on (or fall) and eventually face the best team in the bracket if that is not your team in first place. It might happen next week or it might in five weeks.

Well, G-P & Cal tied for the district championship. Any word on the tiebreaker?

Just heard that G-P won the coin toss and will be the #1 seed for the playoffs and will face CC Moody in bi-district. Good luck G-P!

Seeing that the Calallen coach didn't want to play the game. Congrats to the Wildcats on winning the District championship. Last two game GP beat FB 15 to 0 (run rulled), and beat Ciggarora 12-0. Out scoring district foes 74-12.

Both teams need to save their pitchers for the playoffs and not in a meaningless tie breaker.

King, both coaches agreed to be Co district champions. They didn’t want to waste a pitcher on a meaningless game so they flipped for seeding not who won district.

Nope , I'm gunna go with GP won the flip, therefore GP won district. Not playing the game cause we had 22 hits on their Ace pitcher in the last 2 years is succeeding the championship!

Yea, that would almost be like racking up 400 or 500 yards of total offense in football and showing only 7 points on the scoreboard. Me thinks King got his numbers wrong along with the GP being declared District Champs... Should I not be surprised?

So you don't want to play the game cause of saving pitchers. Willing to go to a flip of the coin to decide playoff seeding is the same as deciding the champs. Imagine if a flip of the coin decides the difference in a bullet to the head or not. I understand why they didn't play the game but a hell of a way to decide your fate as far as playoff seeding.

The deciding factor is who makes the deepest run in the playoffs. It is possible both teams could meet again in regional championships. Now that would be the meeting I would love to see. 3 game playoff at Whataburger.

Both teams went with their aces in the last regular season game before playoffs, Bishop 26-7 coming in and Sinton 25-6. Sinton's Brett Brown went 7 innings allowing only 1 hit. Sinton's fr Rylan Galvan went 4 for 6 with a double
