An ex-college pitcher coached a team for 12-year olds. He got tired of parents yelling at the kids for making outs, he made the dads take BP against him. He embarrassed them. “Now you know how hard this game is!” he said to the dads. “So stop yelling at the kids!”

And the more gung ho the area you live in is about baseball, the worse it is. Sometimes I regret having my kids go through the experience because of idiocy and politics they witnessed first hand. I can't stand how idiotic I've seen some parents become because they think their little Johnny ( Jane for Softball) is the next college or MLB prospect and he/she can't possibly strike out on a called strike three or miss the strike zone four pitches in a row if they are pitching. And without sounding like a male chauvinist pig, the moms are worse than the dads. At least around this part of town they are.

And few others who almost got close along with off duty police officers voluntarily moving their watch post without being asked to because they saw one or a few, verbally get out of hand. I will admit it's entertaining as heck to watch them get bent out of shape. It made sitting out in the hot sun a few time worth it! And when more than one Mom gets involved either on the same side or it's back and forth between Moms on opposite teams, it is REALLY popcorn time!

There's no denying their passion lol.
