Rockport dropped down from 4A Division I to 4A Division II because of Hurricane Harvey. Rockport has a very tough Non District Schedule.

It will be Nice Not to have to play the State Champion in the Second Round of Playoffs! There are not many Large 4A teams in South Texas. Rockport would play one team from the Valley and then have to play Waco LaVega in the Second Round. Very Hard for a Team from South Texas to compete against the size and speed from North Texas Year in and Year Out!

Not Afraid of Competition, but you would rather play them in quarter finals or semifinals!

Not Afraid of Competition, but you would rather play them in quarter finals or semifinals! Well this new realignment in second round it'll most likely be Wimberley, Navarro or Cuero with Cuero still being loaded with size and speed another season. Sinton will have to reload but have the kids to get ready by district time as they lose 21 seniors. JV team only lost 1 game to Cuero 26-12, FR lost a couple with 7th and 8th grade teams going unbeaten. Sinton sophomore class loaded with speed so look forward for them to step up as juniors this upcoming season. Rockport Fulton dropped to Sinton classification in 2010 and first four years were in same district and last 4 years have played each other. 2010 to present Sinton is 7-1 against Rockport Fulton with each win at least by 3 scores. RF one win was in 2014 the 65-53 win at Rockport, that year Rockport lost to Liberty Hill in 3rd rd a game Rockport was ahead with a minute to go before some freak plays happen and LH escape with the win. That same year Sinton lost in semi finals to West Orange Stark with Sinton tied with them 21-21 going into the 4th qtr. That year both Sinton and RF had very good teams later in the season.

There is no doubt Cuero, Navarro, Wimberley and Sinton almost always have very competitive teams and have very good football programs. Should be an Interesting and Fun Football Season!

Good Scrimmage last night between Rockport and Ray. I thought both teams looked pretty good for their first scrimmage. Rockport ran the ball extremely well and their Defensive Line and Linebackers played the run very good. Rockport’s Pass Defense has some work to do. Ray’s passing game looked very good. I thought Ray’s QB’s All threw the ball well. Rockport looks bigger and stronger than last year.

I was there. It's crazy that the million dollar new video scoreboard already had glitches all over it.
