Damned shame that he is leaving Yoakum. Yoakum is only losing 4 starters off of a team that lost to Mineola in the state championship game this year. Yoakum had to play the SC game with a backup QB and he will be healthy next season. Josh Moore and his twin brother Jordan already have over 20 D-1 offers and I just read read that Josh got a scolly offer this week from Notre Dame. Makes no sense to go to IMG?

Actually hes told his HC at Yoakum that hes moving to IMG because of the level of.competition and the great position coaches at IMG. Josh"s twin brother chose to stay in Yoakum and finish out his high school career. The Moore twins have a football pedigree in that their grandfather Charlie Hall played linebacker for 10 yrs for the Cleveland Browns back in the 70"s & early 80"s. IMG also tried to get another player from Yoakum but he eventually turned them down. Hell of a loss for Yoakum but they will be fine since they only lose 4 players from a team that lost to Mineola in the title game.

What a crock of chit. I'm tired of these entitled attitude kids moving to these loaded schools. The coaches at IMG don't have access to teaching techniques that any other coaches don't. They just have access to blue chip recruits, that's it. Put IMG coaches at Miller and Miller would still be Miller.

You are correct. I see several kids at Miller each year that could start at Calallen or a lot of teams that are winners. They are lost in the shuffle but all of the kids at Miller are champions to for giving their all even though losing ten games a year. Loyalty is lost pretty quick these days with the NFL as a roll model.

Maybe so but having 12 team members at IMG recruited in the top 100 recruits in the nation gets attention. Hope it works out for him but losing one of your best players is sure to hurt.

If someone is good enough to get noticed by IMG then they're obviously getting noticed by major colleges, so that's a horse crap excuse for going to IMG.

I agree, he was already getting offers from major colleges. Really there are maybe four or five states where kids should just stay put and tell IMG to pound sand and that being California, Texas, Florida, Louisianna and Georgia.

I totally agree that he does not need IMG, he feels the difference is the level of competition he will face next season. Im just glad his twin brother decided to stay home.

Joshua Moore To Transfer From IMG Back To Yoakum texashsfootball.com/joshua-moore-transfer-img-back-yoakum/Joshua Moore, a four-star wide receiver from Yoakum, will be heading back to his former team to complete his senior year, according to a report from GigEm247. He will rejoin his twin brother and fellow four-star recruit Jordan Moore with the Bulldogs, who pulled a trip to the state finals last year, where they ultimately lost to Mineola. Moore had 27 receptions for 527 yards and 8 touchdowns combined with 324 yards and 4 touchdowns rushing. As a senior, he will surely see those numbers increase with a bigger workload on the offense. As for the recruiting part of his future, no one knows. According to 247’s crystal ball predictions, he’s most likely to head to either Nebraska or Florida State. Question is will UIL force him to sit out IMO they shouldn't. He Transfered to IMG for Athletic purposes. Now he's just coming home. He did transfer to IMG and enrolled at that school, but he never played a down for that team. He's already been checked out by UIL officials and will be allowed to play next season. Yoakum got another outstanding receiver in Issac Pope from San Benito who originally was from Yoakum. His dad is a preacher who got relocated back to Yoakum a few months ago. Issac has already enrolled at YISD. And last but not least is the possible transfer of Vernon Jackson from Boling. His dad took a job in Yoakum a few months ago and has already moved to Yoakum. Vernon or "Action" Jackson is a 6-4 240 QB/ DB who has offers from both Alabama and LSU plus many other offers. He hasn't been officially cleared by the UIL yet but his family has relocated already and he is currently living with a relative at Boling till he has cleared waivers by the UIL. Yep Yoakum will be the top ranked 3A team in 2018 by far.

Well the picture is getting more clear. So far Yoakum has 3 D1 recruits signed on Jordan Moore has signed with A&M aggies, Josh Moore will soon sign with Nebraska and Silas Robinson has just recently signed on at SMU to work with recently hired HC Terry Morris. Ethan Owens has signed with Mary Hardin Baylor just last week. There are 2-3 more players who will play on Saturdays but haven't signed yet. On a side note, Coach Owens recently suffered a heart attack due an arterial blockage has had multiple stents inserted and is recuperating in a hospital.Ethan says he's doing much better and should be released in a few days.

Wow, that is a ton of top notch talent for this level. I hope Yoakum gets it done this year because they are not likely to field too many more teams with this much talent.
