Either Amarillo or another West Texas team is highly ranked every year, but rarely make the final. I'm sure they are good, but I haven't seen them. Their only signature wins are against Lovejoy (2-1) in a tournament, in a trap game for Lovejoy, Plano West 2-0 (tournament) and against Aledo (3-1) in the Regional Final. They have Lost to Lovejoy 2-0, Westlake 2-0, Hebron 2-0, Allen 2-0 and some other good 6A schools. They haven't been tested in the tournament until the Regional Final. Boswell took them to 5 and Boswell is a decent squad. From what I can tell from the schedules Amarillo has more signature wins than Cedar Park, but Cedar Park has a much better district. Should be a great match up. Maybe someone from Aledo can add their 2 cents if they have seen Amarillo play. And with this post I should finally move to Varsity...

Thanks for the insight, hope the girls can get it done! Would be huge for the school, Go TWOLVES!!

So I guess LOJO has this on lockdown. No such thing as a lock down. It is definitely a favorable match-up, however this team can come out a little flat and fails to finish points at times. Lovejoy has a target on their back and can't be complacent. They lost the title last year against a team they were honestly better than, but Dripping Springs had way more energy and Lovejoy continued to stick with their rotation of all players even if some of those players were feeling the pressure. Lovejoy gave DS a lot of points of service errors and it really hurt them. Lovejoy's student cheering section is called "the jungle" they can be flat and non-factors if Lovejoy is trailing. Last years varsity squad didn't appear to have a vocal leader that stepped up during the tough times, this year a jr. seems to be filling that roll.

Just saw on Facebook that Lovejoy will play Cedar Park at 1 PM on Friday.
Good luck T'Wolves. I will hopefully be back from my trip and if I get a little sleep on the plane I'll pull my daughter from school. If any of ya'll are going to be there send me a message. Maybe we can meet up.

Lovejoy and Cedar Park have a little history. Lovejoy beat Cedar Park 3-1 in the State semi-finals back in 2012. They also met in a tournament in 2013 (2-0 Lovejoy).
Let's see what happens when they meet this time. How does Cedar Park Travel? I was really impressed with the Dripping Springs crowd last year. They traveled well.

Don't count these Tuloso-Midway girls out just yet. They had a heck of a run last year that ended a game short of the semi's I believe. These girls have a lot of heart and really want this for their school. Good Luck Cherokees!!

They wouldn't make it this far if they weren't a great team.

One shocked America on November 8th.
