Worst kept secret of the year. And the transfer applications from the Carroll attendance zone will rise dramatically next week. The migration has been underway for sometime. Even before I first posted he was coming back. One I know of is selling up and moving even tho they are two blocks from the line now.

Carrol , King and yes the bluff are going to take a hit. Some players that are on the bubble at other programs might make the move for the long term benefit of his coaching, its going to be interesting to see this evolve and it may just be a powerhouse program. The idea is to get rid of the local 6 A programs and create two 5-6 team 5A districts locally.

No disrespect to Yeagar, but the same level of talent he had previously has moved on. You can bring in the best coach in the nation, but if you come up short on talent then you're not going squeeze that rock into a diamond. I would love to see the CCISD get all teams moved to 5A, I remember how another CCISD program said how they would rule the baseball world when they moved into a lower classification. ?

Kids like to play for Yeagar. He gets the best out of every kid and in turn they play hard for him. True he had some quality talent at Carroll during his tenure who are now working their way up the baseball ladder. But he got production and effort from part time players as well and most of all he respected every kid in his program. He's not going to turn CC Vets into a state power with a snap of the fingers, but he'll have them playing competitively and maybe right out of the starting gate too.

I would add parents feel the same way and are NOT happy with his replacement. Given any chance the downline he built will follow him.

If Yeager gets most of the boys who play at Oso, he will have great teams for years to come. The freshmen at Carroll now made it to the Pony World Series as 12 yr olds and 14 yr olds while playing at Oso. Several recent Oso allstar teams have gone deep into the playoffs. Then you have select teams like The Slam. He will have plenty of talent, at least as much as coming out Oil Belt and going to Calallen. He would not be coming back if he didn't already know this. He knows many of the boys I am talking about. I predict the new high school wins state sometime in the next six years.
