Unlike Frisco and Prosper, Celina ISD is going BIG. The May 2019 bond proposal will include expansion for up to 3000 students at Celina HS. Will they stay with 3000-capacity high schools like McKinney, or will they keep going (as I've long thought would happen). Celina HS will have 3000 students by 2028. bondissueinfo.com/celina/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Concept-graphics.pdf

Well, they are currently a little under 1000 right now, so 2000 HS students in 10 years isn’t too much of a stretch when you consider location. Frisco has been hit. It has moved to Prosper. Now Celina is next. Edit: That’s one large 5A HS worth of growth in 10 years. Frisco has added 6 of these since 2009. Prosper was old 3A back then with about 900 students and now has about 3500. When the people come, they flood the area.

Don't know why they go with Garden Ridge? That is where it is located.

Don't know why they go with Garden Ridge? That is where it is located. Gotta make things complicated.

Don't know why they go with Garden Ridge? That is where it is located. Probably because some of the students will be pulled as far away as New Braunfels. Just an idea anyway.

Princeton ISD has their bond site up for the May 2019 bond election. The bond presentation shows that 2016 demographic projections called for an increase of 1757 total students by 2026. The 2018 projections call for an increase of 6737 students in by 2028. I find that mind-boggling, but the subdivisions were starting to pop up around that time. What is interesting is that a 9th-10th grade center will soon be built to hold up to 1800 students, so Princeton HS will have a total capacity of 3600 students. They have also named HS #2, which is over 10 years out and not included in this bond. It will be named after Philip Anthony. So you have plenty of time to get used to seeing "Princeton Anthony." www.princetonisd.net/cms/lib/TX01001410/Centricity/Domain/1339/2019BondPresentation.mp4www.princetonisd.net/Page/8063

According to Lamar CISD twitter page, the name of high school #6 is Dr. Thomas Randle High School.

This will be determined tomorrow. Hearing on social media that it will be Davenport HS. I’ll watch the New Braunfels Herald for confirmation though. So there it is, Garden Ridge Davenport.
