I like the colors and the Bengal, but the image is too cartoony (if that's even a word... I need to stop hanging out with my daughters so much).

I think it is much better than a lot of logos out there today. Yeah, I like that they didn't just copy some college or NFL team's logo. Although I guess they could use the Cincinnati Bengals helmets, but those helmets are classic so it's excusable.

Black helmet with that logo and double red stripes down the middle. That would be my choice.

Looks like Denton ISD won't be changing Guyer's boundaries at all. Last fall they had an enrollment of 2395, so it is highly unlikely this schools drops down to 5A.
Personally, I am not a fan of this, as I believe more of an effort should be made to get all schools to similar enrollments.

I am assuming they are planning an HS #5 to relieve Guyer then as its capacity is around 2000. I get the argument because already the Guyer attendance zone boundary is probably a mile or so north of the HS. To balance the numbers out you'd have to be sending kids who live across the street from Guyer across town to DHS or Ryan.

Really anxious to hear more about this Glenn High they are adding in to LISD. They've been pretty quiet, but it's been a while since I've checked into anything. I try to hit everyone up once every month or so, but sometimes I forget.

Maybe they will add on someday a la what McKinney ISD did to prevent a 4th HS. I can understand some of the logistics, but wouldn't you want to give each school the best chance to succeed, even if it is for only 2 years? And don't forget, High and Ryan currently have FUNKY attendance zones, so it's not like Guyer could be any worse. My question is, aside from east on 380, where is Denton's growth at?

I forgot DISD expects the need of 6-7 HS at build out.

There is a lot of growth in the far southern part of the district, especially the Lantana development. The ISD's boundary in that area picks up part of Flower Mound IIRC. As far as the actual city of Denton goes there's growth but most of it is associated with UNT.

I seem to remember the logic behind that neighborhood being zoned to Guyer was to increase diversity there... IIRC that's one of the poorest neighborhoods in Denton.
