No way your fresh blow out East ... They barely got by West who was without there two best players crabs may win but it won't be a blow out ... Our freshman are without a few players as well. Injuries. But I know east has a good qb. Who's more then welcome to come on over with a solid progran. Lol. Calallen fresh and jv are goooooooood Might be a good game ... Will the injured fresh be back ?

Who will be the QB after Travis is gone? Hes a freshman now Jaylon Mascorro 6-1 205 fast and a good arm 4.5 40 at a TCU combine this last summer. That was TCUs timing! I bet colleges are drooling over that kid ... Is Travis getting any offers ?

I am impressed that they were able to hang with Refugio's JV! I would love to see some video of these freshman teams, especially the PLC team I hear the Calallen fresh are the real deal they beat PLC easily would love to see them take on that Steele class Me to bro. It would probably be a very good ball game. Our class has a ton of outstanding athletes in it. Big, strong, fast, and athletic. And the best part is they are nasty as hell, especially on defense. I wish I knew how to post up hudl clips so I could select a few to put on a thread. Our 4 D line starters avg 6' and about 225 and are very, very good athletes and dominant. To be honest, I'd love to see a Calallen/Steele home/away 2 game series in 2014 & 2015 seasons. I used to enjoy it when Calallen used to schedule SA local 5a teams in non-district games. Those were some good games back then and I'd bet if somebody had the record Calallen dominated that W/L column!

I was told they would be on the varsity at most schools Tigers, two played their last game on freshman last night. I think both might get to travel with the varsity tonight but definately go with the varsity come Monday morning. There will be at least 8-10 more moved to varsity by the start of the playoffs as well. I've heard as many as 15 will get to go in the playoffs. We DO NOT move them up unless they will get PT. I don't think it'll be that many, but I'd bet it will be 10 or so. We've never had more than 4 moved up in one season at Steele so that will give you an idea of the talent level of these kids. This is truly a special group of kids. They are the real deal and take the game very, very serious. They were not at all happy with 18-6 wins over Judson and Westlake this year as they felt they played bad in those games and should have done much better. Though they dominated those two games, they gave up several opportunities to score. I like that they have the right mentality to go with the tremendous athletic ability. We will have a very, very special team in 2016 provided we can stay healthy.

Tigers, so far all freshman that have been moved up over the past 4-5 years have all got PT in teh playoffs. I'd imagine that with the large number they are moving up this year, some will not but the majority certainly will if we get into games that are put away early. Update: When I got home this evening my kid told me he and 17 other freshman are getting schedule changes Monday morning to get their athletic period with the jv/varsity and will start practice with them on Monday. He is excited by a bit reserved knowing he will be practicing with some BIG, strong, kids. He is about 175-180 and plays the lines so he'll be giving up a whole lot of weight to a bunch of the soph-srs. Welcome to big boy ball!
