You do not have a region title in the 2000s. Or in the 90s either. What years are you claiming? Once again Cochino is WRONG! G-P has been to the state semi-finals 6 times, AKA, which means they won the Region IV title in 1971, 1976, 1984, 1989, 1992, & 2002. In 1992, we beat Austin Westlake for the Region IV title, but lost to A & M Consolidated in the semis. In 2002, we beat Kerrville Tivy for the Region IV title, but lost to Brenham in the semis. We are 1-5 in semi-final games, going to the state championship game only in 1971 when Marty Akins was the QB. Anything else Cochino? 2002 was the year you were #1? I remember you guys losing earlier than expected the #1 season. I don't see how you made it to round 5. I don't remember GP having a 14-1 season.

This is last season so Alice is actually at 38 and GP at 39. I don't see Calallen or FB on the list. Well in comparison, Calallen has been in the playoffs 28 times. In the last 28 years. But the 'Yotes are still 10 ahead

I don't understand why you would lump G-P into that category. G-P has been in the playoffs every year in the 2000s,but 2006, and have even defeated Flour Bluff twice in those playoffs during your so-called Andrus era. In fact, G-P & Calallen are the only teams who have won the Region IV title from this area since 2000. Why would you say G-P is a team from yesteryear? True, we've had great success by winning the Region IV title in the 70s, 80s, & 90s, but we've also won it in the 2000s. I'm having a hard time wondering why you would say G-P is a team from "yesteryear"... You do not have a region title in the 2000s. Or in the 90s either. What years are you claiming? cochino, go stick your head in the ground like an Ostrich. You don't know everything. You spew garbage as facts. You spread rumors as facts. Once you are proven wrong you dodge the issue and "sidestep" in answering valid questions.

We lost to Pflugerville Connally in the Region IV final. We finished the season 13-1. In 2002, we finished the season 13-2.

I really dont give **** what you think about us. I will be the first to say Calallen whipped our ass, no big deal. But you cant stand the fact that your team will never go anywhere and as far as Manziel and his autograph, we really dont care......

So what's not to "can't stand"? Soza took a mediocre Mathis team to the state championship game. At least mediocre by state title standards. And he turned Beeville into a Coastal Bend power. So I have damn good faith he will get Alice to the big game someday. I accept your apology.

I'm having a hard time wondering why you would say G-P is a team from "yesteryear"... Easy answer. Because a lot of you GP guys talk like you are still a dominate team. Ok, lets see. Since 2006 over the last 7 years, GP has finished third in district 4 times, out of the playoffs once, tied for first once and one DC both of those before Calallen came over to 30 4A. But to hear the talk A does not match B. We're not talking as if we're a dominate team like we were in the 1970s & 80s. But, we're not a team from "yesteryear". Hardly any teams from this area can claim they're a dominate team on a statewide level, other than us & Calallen. No other team from this area has won a Region IV title and have been state-title contenders than both Wildcat teams. Keep trying, though, the Bluff is getting close...

We also own the series verses FB and have won 2 of the last 5 meetings with Calallen and will be in the playoffs for the 8th straight year this season. So I have no idea what these clowns mean by yesteryear. Isn't it two of the last seven? You can't just stop counting when you get to that second win in almost a decade. Looking at Maxpreps history Calallen's overall record (since '04 when they start) is 101-21 while Alice is 62-39, GP is 78-35. Now the fact is that all three programs have a great history, have turned out fine young men and have had some great years,.....and stepping off the high horse for a little while could probably produce some real quality, not just quantity, football discussion.

We actually won regional titles in 55, 79, 98, and 99. So don't lump us with FB on that point.

cochino, go stick your head in the ground like an Ostrich. You don't know everything. You spew garbage as facts. You spread rumors as facts. Go to another site and practice. Then come back and maybe. The noticeable item is that you avoid people who prove you wrong. Just as your wrong "Assumptions" of GP. I am not a fan of GP. The GP fans will assure you of that. I am a fan of facts and honesty. You are the Howard Stern on these forums.
