The D2 Region IV bracket would be brutal . Yea, everyone has Cedar Park as the pick and rightfully so I guess. But that bracket would be prime for an upset or two. That's if everyone of those teams live up to expectations or even exceed them

Flour Bluff isn't gonna go DII because it's gonna be Miller that's the 4th team not Nixon.

Their state championship picks: Allen (5A-D1), Katy (5A-D2), Denton Guyer (4A-D1), Cedar Park (4A-D2), Carthage (3A-D1), Gilmer (3A-D2), Newton (2A-D1), Canadian (2A-D2), Mart (1A-D1), Tenaha (1A-D2).
They're really going out on a limb, huh? FNF is like DCTF with more pictures, basically.

Not one player in the top 100 or in the 2015 grads by position or even others to watch for. Ok, here's to getting the most out of your players with a disciplined "TEAM" approach, awesome work ethic, oh and great coaching!

Miller doesn't have the team they had last year. They return 7 on offense and 7 on defense. 2012 Miller was all about the QB Clay. He is gone and no playmaker in the pipeline. Miller will battle Moody and Laredo Cigarroa for the bottom spots out of the playoffs. Nixon and Martin will battle for that 4th playoff spot.

Between DCTF Magazine and FNF there is not really a "Best" magazine, just what we have to use until something better comes along. At least it is something, which is more than some other states have.

As I pointed out above, FNF employs the same lazy prognosticating as DCTF. Their 4A-R1 brackets look suspiciously like... last year's 4A-R1 brackets. In fact, in R1D1 their regional round matchups (Amarillo vs. Denton Guyer, Lubbock Monterey vs. Birdville) are exactly the same as last year, with the same teams winning. Only difference in D2 is they have Canyon instead of El Paso Burges. At least DCTF had the nerve to pick Aledo to go D2 this year and win that region, not that that's going out on a limb or anything. It almost seems like they just go like "okay, these teams were good last year, so let's pick them to be good again." Lazy prognosticating at its worst.

They could hire some interns at all of the colleges to go out and do some field work on gathering info. The lazy way is what they will continue to do until they get hit in the profit margin.

Well, I think both FNF and DCTF rely a lot on coaches for their info, which is fraught with all sorts of problems. Even though the coaches know their teams, they're not exactly neutral sources. College interns would present a different set of problems, since they may not know football well enough to get valuable information. Maybe getting info from sportswriters would work, but then in the larger cities a lot of teams go basically uncovered. That would probably work fine in, say, 3A, but in 4A-5A the local beat writers are probably going to be clueless about some teams that the paper never devotes any coverage to. There's no really good way to do this.

This magazine is a rag IMO when it puts a DE from Madison over our DE on the top 100 list! No disrespect meant towards that kid at Madison because he's a fine player but he don't hold a candle to this beast below. He is 6'6.5", 265, and can move! I think this magazine is much like a bunch of other publications and polls from up north.......THEY DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT US DOWN HERE! LOL

They had playmaking recievers and a playmaking running back as well. If I would have come on here and said Miller wouldn't be a factor you would have been their biggest cheerleader in saying yes they would. It's all about disagreeing with me with you. You love me.
