Are you so smug to think we don't know our oast. That qoute about it being to our benefit that its the only last ten years snapshot of the playoffs. YoU Don't Say. WOW glad YOu filled us calhoun fans in on that little gem. We know our own. History inside and out. I could tell you every head coach this school has ever had dating back to the 50's. Every year we went winless ect ect ect.
I obviously misread the original post. Thats not hard to figure out either.
Still. 40% wins in playoffs equates to being one and done often. Which was still my point. Jus sayin

Good Lord some of you are very, very sensitive.
Smug? No, not smug, just stating facts (history....playoff history) and obviously it strikes a nerve with you and a couple of others. Again, I think what PLC has done the past 7-8 years is really good, but some of your fans want to put your team up there with Calallen and GP with what they've accomplished over the years and you are not there yet. Yes, it has been a while since GP has won the region but they've still done it on more than one occasion. You guys keep pointing to 10-0 regular season records and the two wins over Calallen and like I've said more than a handful of times, THAT IS GREAT!
Now, the next step is to beat somebody in the playoffs that will open people's eyes outside of the Coastal Bend. I do think it will happen........hell, I thought it was going to happen two years ago when yall had the transfer D1 player move in and there was a ton of talk out of the PLC camp that summer about it as well. You have the stud RB again this year and he'll be a SR along with a big O-line so the pieces are in place offensively so I think the question will be on the defensive side of the ball. Will the D be good enough this year to make a deep run? Offense wins games, defense wins titles.
Here's your proper use of it. First time was a complete accident. This time was because I'm bored
I would agree. I personally think we should have two regional crowns. The year theu lost to plugerville and in 2011 . It just didn't work out that way.
Bte after botj games the kids recieved standing ovations from the crowd. Even againsr plugerville when our boys wre down by 30 points. At no point did anyone think we would lose the game. It was surreal when it was over and they lost by 1. Theu dominated the second half I'm a way rarely seen in the playoffs. Came up short .
Tivy game in 2011. I saw ppl clappin with tears in their eyes. Our community gets behind our kids 100% . From youth league on up. That was an emotional game and one ill never forget watching. Talk about leaving everything on tjr field. I don't think whitaker coulda got anymore out of those boys in terms of effort.
I can namr plenty of programs that haven't done what your talking about. However. If we wanna beat our chest in support of our kids. Then your gonna have to live with it or simply ignore it.
Yes we lost a lot up until 2006 and trust me ican tell you all the reseasons for that.
But at this point. We have kids in a school that have never known the sandcrabs to be losers. They adore the crabs. We have a tradition. Albeit young. But its something. Whitaker has done an outstanding job here. We suited up two freshman teams. A sophmore team and a jv last season. We only have an enrollment of 1150. That is tremendous. Consider 1/4 (and I'm being generous ) of that 1100 kids are asian and burmes kids that DO NOT even participate. (Rarely ever anyways ).
Our youth league has over 200 kids . Were almost suiting up more teams then victoria is and victoria has a population that just towers over our small 12, 000. Think th eyre up to what 80, 000?
Things are just fine down here
