Are yall delusional? Alice will randomly show up with their vaunted 7 on 7 title and run the scrimmage Jk I think FB has the second best team in the coastal bend this year. May be a long day for gp. Bisbywill get his Maybe the Hornets and Crabs can line up again one day but with the population difference it's not likely unless it was non district.

As for 31-4A... If both Ray and one of the Laredo Martin or Nixon make it then Flour Bluff would go D2. That is a better possibility in 2013 than the above for 30-4A. That would be a great matchup. A definite slobber-knocker game of the year!

This could turn into a great thread in the next 5 weeks or so! It could attain 'classic' status if it really gets going good. I just hope the FB defense wears extra padding for this one and brings a ton of extra helmets along because if not, they may have to call the SB scrimmage after the first 5-6 plays!

I'd think that both coaches would look at this as an opportunity for a non-district matchup this next alignment! With the two schools not very likely to meet in the playoffs, wouldn't this make good sense? An early season matchup between two of the best in the CB area would do nothing but help both teams find their weaknesses and work on them over the season to prepare for the playoffs. I'm a big believer in scheduling as tough of a non-district slate as possible to better your team even if it means taking a game or two on the chin. I've always said I'd give up a couple of Ls early in the year to better my team and go on a 6 game win streak starting in week 11.

That's what happened last year. They looked for bisby so hard. On the 10 th play or so he got the rock ran thru the starting LB and broke another would be tackle try on his way to the end zone. No FB speed could catch him.

Weak preseason schedules. This year Somerset is the hardest so far in the preseason of the 9 game schedule? Not sure why no other game was added in preseason for this year?

It is tough to find a team with: 1) same open date. 2) simialar size school. 3) willing to play against one of the best running games in the state. 4) Geographically feasable. 5) a team not in our playoff future. I am sure Whit has tried to find a game, but it has to be the right fit (for both). Realistically, the only teams that could benifit us by adding more games, is a "Good Spread" team.

Since the Laredo schools got put in 31 only one of them and CC Ray have to make the PO to move FB to Div II. So, it could happen they could meet up in PO but because of that they most likely would not want to play non district.

Austin Reagan has the same open date as PLC in September. Someone posted that they would even travel. Austin Reagan has only 9 games scheduled as well.

He came by the house a couple of weeks ago and looks better than ever. He's been going to a lot of camps & combines. He's really getting some hard looks from Baylor, UH, and other D1 programs. Congrats to him as being the only local 4A player on DCTF's Preseason First Team All-State RB. He really deserves it...great kid! I'm really looking forward to seeing him & #1 carrying the ball this season. How's #14 doing? I hope his injury has healed and he's ready to go. Should be a great year for him & the Bluff!

Is Joe Buck commentating this game on tv 3 for real? Did King, (Bisby's agent) really get the Heisman trophy down here for media day before the big game? Do Mack, Wil, Bob, Nick, and Les really have reservations in Portland, at the Americas best value inn? Did JD really charter a charter bus for the team and band? Did CC varm really write to the UIL asking that this game be moved to the Alamodome? Lets get it going!!!!
crickets.....
