Sandie90, How are the guys receiving Brooks? I am hoping that no one has hard feelings against him beings he has come in and will probably get most of the hype even though we were going to be an excellent offensive team without him. Hope none of the guys (especially Griffin, Bargas and Loya) are showing him the cold shoulder. Just wondering how the chemistry is, that's all? I doubt it, if they care about the team, they'll care about it getting better by addition as long as the kid doesn't show up with a swollen head.

I heard he was a stud, too. Just overshadowed by his brother. We could use a linebacker of that size. Trevino is awesome, but we could use the help. I'm hoping we can run a true 4-3 to allow us to use a SS and a FS to help out with the passing teams and cover the rb's out in the routes with a FS instead of a LB. If this kid can start it should allow us to move Klamm to SS. A position we'll need the hard hitting and aggressiveness he can bring. He is also a sophomore, so we are looking really nice for the next 2 years.
GO CRABS!!!!!

Wait a minute. Weren't you the guy whos posts lead to the coining of the TM is solid phrase? Just asking. Nope, different Warcat... I think that might be Warcat82. Yep, I think you are right. Keep getting the Warcats confused. But then again if you guys would pick one, Warrior or Cats it would help.

fbfan, id like to see the video fromthe 09 fb vs alice, 2 pt conversion play? where it at? The play is at the very end of the video tacked on after you think the video is over around 7:12 mark. He gets turned around in the air before the goal and knocked down with the ball hitting the ground short of the goal. It was close but play it over a few times and you can see. The ref is right there looking down the goal line.

Imo, Brooks at FS would.make more sense, likely he will be a CB at OU, that being said, he could play aome secondary for the crabs as well as run that ball. Trevino is a great player,.Mcrory may have some college scouts sniffing him out, hes big, fast and plays with a mean streak. The presence of Brooks will help him further get noticed. witj or without Brooks ,Calhoun has what looks to be very good football team, his addition, sure doesnt hurt;) glad to.have him,.his brother and im sure his Family will love Crabnation.

Thanks RedRage. lol I've lurked long enough I guess it's time to join in the talk with the boys. gmgksa, I can assure you that you will not see many players or fans take the game against Cuero lightly. Last years game was horrible. And I'm not talking about just the monsoon. Our defense played like crap (understatement). If not for the offense, last years game against Cuero would have gotten very much out of hand and quickly. This years team is going to have to step it up and play each game with all they have. I can promise you that are coaches have been working on our defense, and from what I saw during our spring practices we are on the right path. Give credit where credit is due I think Cuero had something to do with the crabs defense playing bad . This is a new year both teams have reloaded should be a good one I will never take credit away from Cuero that game. They simply made our defense look like a bunch of 5yr olds out there. And like you said, new year, we will see what happens September 16th.

Trent Jackson is what football fanatics may refer to as a "mudder" that kid cam run on a soggy field and I saw him make cuts most NFL Rbs cannot make. Nuff said, I hope that kid gets back on track,.as.much as I hated him running all over calhoun, it was a special thing to watch.

Daniel and his brother are a part of the Sandcrab family. These guys have welcomed Daniel, his brother Elijah, and Adam Shipp (another transfer) in with open arms. This is football and they all know that not one person makes a team. They all have to pull together. My son (Griffith), speaks very highly of the Brooks boys. He says Daniel is a hard worker and has not let all the hype change his attitude at all. Daniel's brother is the same I am told. Hard working and a good kid. He'll be a sophomore next year, so not sure if he'll be placed on varsity, but would love to see him there.

The College scouting reports (orangeblood.com) says that Brooks is leaning toward OU because he wants to play Offense. UT is claimed to only have a defensive position open for him to play there. They also said that his Height listed as 5'7" is probably optimistic and that opposing teams would throw over the top of him if he was to play corner. Again those aren't my words or thoughs. Just passing on what I read. Did anyone else notice that DCTF didn't pick Rockdale to make the playoffs?
