Hopefully if Miller doesn't upset Ray I think many people don't give Nixon a chance against Mission but our team does better against teams who don't run a triple-option or wishbone or those type of offenses cause we don't don't have the players to stop that and since we can't stop it it gets our offense out of rhythm (or maybe we can stop it but it was just the first time we saw that type of offense and it caught us off guard will see how we fair against flour bluff). Our LB's got to confused against it as they didnt know who had the ball atleast that's what happened against Alice. Thankfully Mission runs the spread & they might be 9-0 but they have the weakest schedule of any undeafeted team I have ever seen. I don't think we're that bad u have to remember we gave Ray all they could handle. And best of all it seems we have won the toss so being at home against Mission will help us. And lastly go Texans beat the Bucs!!!

Flour Bluff scored 35 and won by 10. Laredo Nixon gave up twice the points to Ray at 50 and Laredo Nixon scored 41 to lose to Ray by 9. I'll give Laredo Nixon 7 points for the homefield advantage. I say the score is: Flour Bluff 56 Laredo Nixon 17

I think we will concentrate on the passing game and running from the spread. I do think our back up QB's will run the veer some though. I'd like to see some more crossing routes from the passing game and short throws. Wish I could be in Laredo for this one. Can I pick up the FB broadcast in San Antonio?

And lastly go Texans beat the Bucs!!! Mission is a spread team. They run the normal spread stuff - the guard/tackle counter, zone read (inside and outside), jet sweep, QB draw. Passing game consists primarly of short passing game, they liike the dig, and out routes. Short yardage align in the power I and run the blasts off tackle. Their H back is Ok, he is not a world beater. The QB is good, he reminds me a lot of Sinton's QB. He is very good size and can run the ball well and is extremely tough to bring down. He is average at passing the ball. Doesn't have the arm strength Sinton's QB has and certainly doesn't have Sinton's receivers. But he is pretty good. What makes Mission good though is their defense. They are outstanding. They are as fast as any defense around. They have an excellent D Line with an exceptional defensive end and a really good Linebacker corp, again one of them is exceptional. Their secondary is also pretty good. The thing with Mission's D is that they take a lot of chances, and because of their speed everything usually works for them. They are very aggressive. I haven't seen Nixon play. So I can't comment on their chances. But I can tell you this. Regardless of schedule (and I don't think it is that weak) going 10-0 is very special. Don't think they could handle Flour Bluff. Their offense is not nearly as threatening as Ray's but defensively they are night and day better (don't think Ray's defense is all that shabby either). In your district I have seen - Bluff, Alice, Miller, Cigarroa, and Ray. In week two they were better than any of the above teams at the time I saw them play in weeks much later than that except Flour Bluff. I don't think I would want to pick a winner between Mission and Ray. And since I haven't seen Nixon play could not pick one there either. And everyone knows, the playoffs are whole new ballgame, lot's of things can happen then. Good luck

Get the Radio Libertad app for your phone. That's what I have. It is great! I listen to all of the FB games if I am on the road or unable to attend.

Good luck Yea I have seen that Defense of Mission they blitz like 99.9% of the time and they have alot of speed. They do take alot of chances and get alot of offside penalties.
