Max preps only has the stats of the teams that enter them. I would guess a lot of teams don't enter that stuff.

Max preps only has the stats of the teams that enter them. Yep. The Dallas Morning News lists some kid from Little Elm as having 2,122 (!) rushing yards on the season.

Apparently he got 55 carries on Friday.

I've seen Castillo play 3 times this year and he has almost 800 yards in those 3 games. Martin moved him to QB in the Wildcat when he ran for those 450 yards. I think the last 2 games you might see more of the same. I met his Mom last game and told her it had been fun watching her son...seem like very nice family.

He has around 2,000 yards and is being billed as the strongest back in the state benching over 400 and squatting well over 600. The kid is the first one in the gym and the last to leave. I sure hope he gets a shot at a 4 year ride. He sounded like a kid with his head on right.

MaxPreps says he ran for 1,950 yards last year; 1,927 (on 151 carries!) this year. At worst he's a D-II player. But where the heck is San Diego and what is a Vaquero?

LOL...San Diego is about halfway between Corpus and Laredo and Vaquero is Cowboy in Spanish. The place is near and dear to me, but not most folks around here. It's best known for George Parr and his corrupt political machine. www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/hfs02

Incredible numbers both on the field and in the weight room. Kid sounds like an absolute beast!!! Any video available on this young man JD?

San Diego and Lopez take on Aransas Pass tonight. In preseason this would have been the match up of potential D1 RB's, but AP's Butler hasn't had that much success this season. I hear he is still being courted by Baylor pretty hard though.
AP had one of the region's best athletes in Tommy Blake. He was a certin first round, probably top 10, pick in the NFL draft if he would have come out his junior year from TCU. Damn shame what happened after that...more reason for these kids to take the money while it is there.
