I know y'all won't shut us out. Even last season with all of our same players we scored 19 points on your defense that was really good. It should be a great ball game. But, right now we're just focusing on Victoria East. This time next week, we'll start talking about Calhoun. Good luck vs T-M!

No offense to VE but from the way they are going it might be a good game to work on things for GP.

He only threw 10 passes last night. He'll probably throw 15-20 vs East. Right now, Gonzales is scheduled to be released to play vs PLC, but we have to get Geiser ready just in case Brandon can't go. We've been working with multiple players on the D line, trying to find the right fit before we meet PLC & Calallen.

Like I said last night, a win is a win. In district play, I'll take a 1-point win over East, as long as we win.

What each team did when they played Carroll and What each team when they played Alice Certainly don't mean anything and a lot has to do with the match up of teams. PLC is beatable. I see a couple of surprises that GP could pull with the personnel they have. don't be surprised if Calallen does not invigorate and come out swinging. I look for Beeville to fill one of the playoff spots. Cedar Park knocked off Leander and Cedar Park is not as strong as usual. The Coastal Bend has a shot at winning Region.

I agree with what you are saying above for sure. But, to beat PLC you are going to have to throw it.......it is that simple. You will not beat them running Bisby all night long. You will have to have a balanced attack to beat them and your D will have to play lights out. As far as Leander and CP go, yes, CP may not be as good as they've been the last 3 years or so but they are still very formidable. They have not played a bunch of Patsies this year at all Westlake 21 CP 7 Abiline Cooper 17 CP 14 CP 10 Harlker Heights 0 Round Rock Westwood 12 CP 9 CP 14 Leander 10 Westlake is 2-3 and their 3 losses have come to Steele, Temple, & aCm Abiliene Cooper is a very, very solid team and is 4-1 Harker Heights is 1-3...they've lost 3 very close games with sTp, RR, & CP and just beat an undefeated Belton team 7-0. They are a very solid team imo Leander....4-1 Nuff said...they are tough. All I'm getting at is don't place too much into CP's record at this point because they are still a very, very good team and their win over a very solid Leander team proves that. Leander has given up 28 points in 5 games and half were to CP this week.

To revise and amend previous statement about who is better. Remember to my Sandcrab and GP brothers I speak from a neutral and non-political view point, and they are all just opinions based on my own observations I saw Williams Friday night. He is good. I saw Calallen Friday night. They aren't. Even though I can say without prejudice that the PLC Defense is the best around here. That Front is incredibly good, and that #35 is the best Strong Safety playing south of San Antonio right now. Don't need to be talking about Williams (by my thinking Bisby is better, if Bisby gets in the open field, no one is going to get him. His power and speed combined with the talent to run with the ball make him exceptional. He'll play at least D2. Williams has an exceptional offensive line and a scheme that requires the defense to play smart and disciplined.) PLC'ers need only talking about that Defense.

I think Williams had one heck of a game this week. Cal has a really good front 7 that was dead set on taking Williams out of the game. Even with this he had 28 carries for 95 yds. That's 3.4 yds per carry. It's extraordinary that a kid can do this when Cal's D is hitting him at the line most every play. OL did a good job, but they were crashing more than we had to block. Without Williams, Hunter doesn't go off.
We will see what Bisby does against the Cal D when they are keying on him. I wish him the best of luck!

I think Brandon knows his best performance against a district opponent has to be against PLC by now. He knows he's going to have to sling it out with everything he has learned throughout the years. I think with him being gone make this team stronger, actually. They're burning for him to come back and lead this team.

Williams did have a good game, and he is a really good running back. I do believe judging by what I've seen from PLC the past few years, you will find someone to play that position. Like people always asked Tech under Leach, is it the quarterback or the scheme. Obviously a bit of both. When you don't see that offense but once a year. It is hard to prepare for. PLC runs the option well. Calallen played defense good enough to win. The difference is that both Calallens offense was not productive, and PLC's defense is outstanding.
