Allowing only 78410 or 78380 is just idiotic. He turned away Normie a season ticket holder cause his address is now Odem. I can assure you there are plenty of Calallen faithful that live outside the district and if that is the best plan you can come up with then maybe just sale the damn tickets. Moody was not checking id's. Secondly, I went back at lunch and they were not checking id's anymore. If you were in line like I was how many of the ticket buyers seemed to be from Moody? The lady in front of me just wanted to see her grandson play and waited in line for over an hour. I just think Danaher handled very poorly and was a jerk. Like I said, I don't know how else to handle it. The fact is with the limited seating and if tickets would have run out at Moody, they would have come over here to get them in a heart beat. Quite frankly I'm surprised the tickets didn't runout over there, it could be the fact Carrol is the playoffs which will keep some from going to the Moody/Cal game. Don't get me wrong, I feel for you and do not neccesarly like the process. But I really can't think of another way to insure access for Calallen residents (IE taxpayers) to the game because we've seen this before. I doned my Calallen TD Club Polo shirt and vintage C5 cap from the 70's and he turned me down too because I have a 78374 zip.

I really don't know how else to do it. Maybe bring your property tax bill? The point is the Moody faithful and other fans who will follow them now (basically meaning the city of Corpus inside the CCISD boundaries) would grab all available tickets if some sort of restrictions were not placed and the only way I see that is by zip codes. Most Calallen residents live in the 78410 zip or the other zip that identifies residents who live in the school district westbound on FM 624 outside the city limits. I don't know of another way? It stinks and if you couldn't get the tickets, I'd probably be pissed too. But the situation here is more unique vs Moody's because they will outdraw you thanks the herd effect. Just a suggestion, but maybe schedule the series at a stadium that can handle the expected crowd!!!!!!!!!!! duh It's really not rocket science!

That is usually what we do for football games in this area in the playoffs!

Venues are in short supply that weekend. Could travel to SA, but I'm sure the ADs weren't keen on that idea.

Perhaps Nueces County should turn over the upkeep of Fair Grounds Field over to the listed school districts, and in turn these schools are allowed to use the facility free of charge.

So sad, this could really be a nice field, but the county let it go to crap fast. Heck, I wouldn't ***** even if the county would just turn the field over to Robstown ISD. At least the field would be kept up in playing condition. I take it back, I would pitch a fit first, then I would be OK with it.

Even if we could play in the daylight, the Astros organization takes full control of operations on gamedays at the Burger at 1 PM and it has to be made available for both teams for use before their regular games on games day. The fact Fairgrounds went down the tubes is a total clusterbleep. I've heard this idea tossed around and hopefully someone will aproach the country about turning it over to someone and build some regualtion Junior league and high school/college fields around it and have a Baseball USA like complex. Sure as heck would bring in more $$$ in sales taxes thanks to high school tourneys and select leagues using it for games and overnight stays, meals vs the dump it is now. And of course it could be available during the high school playoff season too for something like this.

Robstown ISD Calallen ISD TM ISD- I like this idea. These three teams would probably be more competitive than any of the previous tenants.

Novel idea....but 1. We don't have the money to make wanted upgrades on our own field, can't see spending $$ on someone elses stuff? 2. Which school would take the "lead" and how would you divide the responsibilites...mowing, fertilizing, painting, watering, electric bill, light maintenance...ect 3. Is it worth all that for 1, maybe 2 games a year for your particular team? I hate seeing the place go to ruins like it has, but it was a BAD idea from the start, most of us predicted it would not fly because of the Burger being in works when they did it. my 2¢

It would be nice if the local high schools could figure out a way to use it, or somebody put in a nice baseball complex. All it takesis money! Guess I'll have to be content with catsradio since y'all have locked me out. Suggestion to calallen ad. Sell to season ticket holders and/or booster club members 1st.
