West 10 run ruled East the last 2 times they played including the playoff game for the #1 seed so I see Calallen easily beating East. I think West can take Moody. I don't know...they are stronger than you think. Flour Bluff beat West 3-0 in a tournament in Victoria...a kid named Pacheco pitched for West and Mendiola pitched for FB. FB split with Moody in a couple of close games. Moody will bring it...they better be on their A game...

I agree with redrage00, Victoria West is the stronger of the two Victoria schools. They are more fundamentally sound than East and have the better pitching staff with Pacheco leading the way. Calallen should handle East fairly easily. But, I do think West will take Moody. Moody's pitching is not that great.

West is definitely better then East...but not better than Moody... Moody will grind out the win. Moody is young but has the experience on their side.. They might not have the dominate pitchers but they don't make mistakes.. They play good fundamental bball... Regardless, it should be a good series.

snuffuluffalus stiffy ...Rio Grande City are all a bunch of speedsters that play small ball. They can get a runner on base and bunt nd bunt and bunt till the have to hit into the outfield to score the runs. . i hear thier pitching is good not great but good from 1 thru 4..i didnt go to rgc on sat so idk how thier ace looked.

The G-P coaches are not worried about Carter. We've already played the Bluff this year. We through our #5 pitcher against them. The Bluff better be worried about facing Polasek. He's been on a roll lately, with quality starts his last 5 outings. Should be a great series, though. We know who Ross Carter is. He defected from G-P. Carter moved to Padre Island to live with his grandmother in the 7th grade. I would not call that a defection. He has some very fond memories of GP and has the utmost respect for his former Litttle League teammates.

He and my son were teamates. We certainly miss him. Going to be hard to pull against him when the Bluff plays GP.

Moved Up? Saw the light? The kid has fingernail marks up the bridge and all the way down SPID still to this day. No kid wants to leave G-P for the Bluff.

I have dreaded this day since Ross moved to the Island. I will probably cheer for both teams since I too know some of the players from G-P Little League and appreciate how their baseball skills have developed. Hats off to all the LL coaches for time well spent. Good Luck To All
