I had 2.35" in the gauge this morning at 4:00am when I left for Austin. Great rain. Wish I'd have spent the $2K on fertilizer now this past weekend like I was debating!
I saw some areas to the SE of us got some tornados early this morning around Karnes City. Hope like Hell everyone is OK down there!
How much rain everybody else get??

My Mom & Dad live in Karnes City. The siren is right in their backyard. The Tornado did not hit on their block. It is dark and nasty here in the Houston, Texas City, Galveston area.

Field looks great. Chalk lines are straight. It's gonna be time to play ball here in a bit.

I got 2.55"
That is the biggest single day total I've had since Oct 9th, 2011 and before that....and before that, Sept 2010!
Great rains so far this year. I've had 9.2" since January 1st, and 19.5" since September 29th 2011. From Oct 1st 2010 to September 28th 2011 (3 days short of a complete calendar year) I had a grand total of 6.45"
What a difference. My place looks like a tropical paradise instead of a damn desert! LOL
Now, it is time to buy a new tractor! Oh yeah baby!!!!!

I just got back from the SA/Hill Country area and the difference between the landscape last year at this time and this year is like night and day. It was almost Ireland green everywhere you turn in the state. We've probably had more rainouts in regards to baseball this season than the previous two or three combined. Hopefully we can squeeze in some more rain before the blow torch called summer gets cranking, except during the baseball state tourney weekend. It's no fun having the rain screw up that tourney.
