I heard that this young man has an offer on the table from blOwU but has not verballly committed to them as of yet. Hopefully he WON'T and will wait for a good college like A&M, UT, TCU.....or just about anyone else! LOL
This kid has really grown the last 12 months or so and is a legit 6'3" right now with very good wheels and will flat out knock your head off. I've spoken with him on occasion and can tell you that he is a quiet, humble young man that is well liked by coaches, teamates, and teachers.

Good Lord Almighty. I saw Erik last night at the spring game and all I can say is.............man amongst boys. What is really something is that his counterpart safety Jordan Sterns (committed to TT) is about 5'11" 200 and Erik makes him look small. These kids only got a couple of snaps last night but they looked really, really good.

I think Huhn is about the #6 or 7 ranked safety in the state. That might be too low. Anyone would be lucky to have him.

And the best part, he's a really good kid. Very soft/well spoken kid that has his act together. He was listed last year at 6'1" 205 with 4.53 speed. I'll assure you he is much larger than that and will most likely best that time this summer in some camps with electronic times. He is legit. Of this list below, the only two that havn't offered him are A&M and UTEP. What exactly are they thinking??? Baylor Duke Georgia Houston Mississippi St. Nebraska Oklahoma Purdue TCU Texas A&M Texas Tech Utah UTEP Wake Forest

I've heard daddy Huhn is a huge bl Ow U fan and that scares me. I saw M Anderson last night at Steele and he was wearing that ugly arsh red color and it was God awful! LMAO Kind of funny seeing TA wearing his Huskers gear, MA sporting bl Ow U, and MB sporting burnt orange last night. Bout time a Steele grad is wearing some maroon, don't you think??? I would love to see both Erik and Jordan go to UT and or A&M and stay close to home.

Glad to see another Knight wearing the burnt orange and white! I wonder how is Shane doing at UTEP? He got red-shirted last season and from what I heard wasn't happy about it. I have not heard anymore but should see Erik next week and I'll ask about him. I think Shane will see some PT this coming year.

Erik sure has what it takes to be a legitimate D1 player. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as an All-State player with around 10 interceptions this season.

But, to be honest, I'd be very surprised to see Huhn and other starters get more then 4 quarters worth of work in those three games. Jinks will rest a lot of starters and play a ton of sophs and even some freshman maybe those weeks.

We were lucky to replace that "powerhouse" in district play! Now, i'll agree about resting starters, like Huhn, and I like the idea of playing good teams at the beginning, as it assures you of even bigger blowouts. Overall, Huhn will have full game stats in probably two quarters.

They are really, really struggling now.

I spoke with Erik Friday evening. He is an extremely nice, soft spoken kid. I'm 6'4" and he is basically eye to eye with me. He's easily 6'3" and 210 for sure. I asked him about the Jr Day Camp he went to and he said there were like 150 kids and I asked him how many were offered and he said he believe he was the only one that day. That is a very high compliment in itself for sure. What I thought was really special was he asked me if I'd ever been to a game at UT because he has never been to a major college fb game. I laughed and told him he was in for a treat when he took his official visit and got to stand on the sidelines this coming season.
I think we are going to witness a very special year from this young man in 2012 wearing the Black and Silver. What a special player we've got this coming year and what makes it that much sweeter is the fact that he's such a good kid.
