This was before Tivy didnt have a coach, OC or DC..lol Doesn't matter. Tivy fight never dies. I kind of bought into that after seeing their playoff game against PLC last season and meeting a lot of really nice fans there.

Where is the best team south of Lake Travis? no respect! Actually, Calallen would beat 2/3 of those teams on that list...not cocky, just sayin'

This list is heavily biased for the Dallas area teams (6 of 10) even though only Aledo has been the only team to back it up. Gone to 5A is Lake Travis, Smithson Valley, Pflugerville Hendrickson, New Braunfels Canyon, Manvel, Waco Midway, Denton Ryan, Killeen, and Rockwall-Heath. Gone to 3A is La Marque and Kilgore. New to 4A is Leander and back again is Denton Guyer. I am surprised that Calallen is not in the Top 10. Leander and Denton Guyer might have the same fate that Waco and Copperas Cove had in 2006 when they dropped down to 4A from 5A. Alamo Heights and La Marque sure shutdown their arrogance.

Leander getting way too much cred Maybe, maybe not. They were an 8-4 team last year and barely lost to a good 'early' Judson team and a really good Cedar Park team. They also lost a close 2nd round game to a pretty dang good Westfield team. They beat some pretty good teams during their 8 game win streak and went undefeated in their district beating a 10-2 Westwood team along the way. DeSoto 3-43 Judson 14-21 Cedar Park 16-18Bowie 35-21 Georgetown 40 - 14 Round Rock 43 - 7 Stony Point 35 - 10 Pflugerville 35 - 17 RR Westwood 14 - 7 McNeil 45 - 21 Akins 35 - 14 Westfield 7-13 I think they are a legit 'preseason' top 10 but would agree with you that they might be a tad bit high in this poll.

Leander will probably be the top team in Region IV next year. They are good. It looks about right where they are ranked right now. Cedar Park is most likely the only team that will knock them out of the playoffs in IV. If they go D2 no one will touch them until they meet Region III.
