I played CCCC last week. First time I've played in a year. Shot 92 with a 43 on the back. Finished par, par, bogey, par. Three putted 4 times on the front nine. The greens are nice but slick.

Good finish especially after a year off. I have never played that course but it looks good from what I see driving by. I played OSO last Sun to check it out and it is in really good shape with slick greens. Some sadist cut the holes that day as it seemed every one was on a slope that if you ran it by you could putt it off the green. Took me a while to get used to it but shot 2 over on the back. This Sat I played on NAS went 40 38 for a 78 with an OB on 6.

OK guys, time to get ready to play golf!
Lets go for Sunday March 18 at 1400 at Oso. if you will pm me your name and school affiliation I will set up teams mixing folks up as best I can. Ideally I'm going to try to have each member of a 4some represent different schools. Not much sense in me playing with Wingman & 81 as I can and have played golf with them before! The idea is for us to have some fun and get an chance to meet each other.
Note that I did not ask for handicaps, as I know you are all a bunch of sandbaggers!
The winning group will be responsible for buying the first round of lemonade after the round!
As soon as I get a feel for how many will be playing I will block out some Tee times at Oso. Each player will just pay his/her own green fees & cart rental.

Subject: My new golf book I just finished outlining my new book on "Winning Golf Strategies", which I'm projecting will hit the NY Times Best Seller list in the next week or so after I finish it. Below, you'll find a sneak peek at the table of contents. This book provides valuable playing tips and insider information that I've managed to gather through my years of experience playing the game and observing hundreds of golfing partners. All new information not contained in my first book "Golf, the Game Of Lessening Failures." Table Of Contents Chapter 1 - How to properly line up your Fourth putt. Chapter 2 - How to hit a Nike from the rough when you hit a MaxFli from the tee. Chapter 3 - How to avoid the water when you lie 8 in a bunker. Chapter 4 - How to get more distance off the Shank. Chapter 5 - When to give the Ranger the finger. Chapter 6 - Using your shadow on the Greens to maximize earnings. Chapter 7 - When to implement Handicap Management. Chapter 8 - Proper excuses for drinking beer before 9 a.m. Chapter 9 - How to urinate behind a 4" x 4" post, ... Undetected. Chapter 10 - How to rationalize a 6 hour round. Chapter 11 - How to find that ball that everyone else saw go in the water. Chapter 12 - Why your spouse doesn't care that you birdied the 5th. Chapter 13 - How to let a Foursome play through your Twosome. Chapter 14 - How to relax when you are hitting Three off the Tee. Chapter 15 - When to suggest major swing corrections to your opponent. Chapter 16 - God and the meaning of The Birdie-To-Bogey Putt. Chapter 17 - When to regrip your Ball Retriever. Chapter 18 - Use a strong grip on the Hand Wedge and Weak Slip on the Foot Wedge. Chapter 19 - Why male golfers will pay $5.00 a beer from the Cart Girl and give her a $3 tip, but will balk at a $3.50 Beer at the 19th Hole and stiff the Bartender. Hopefully you will find my book intriguing and purchase a copy. Please send on and hopefully more people will buy copies!!! Thank You!

What if you were playing in the club championship tournament finals and the match was halved at the end of 17 holes. You had the honor and hit your ball a modest 250 yards to the middle of the fairway, leaving a simple six iron to the pin. Your opponent then hits his ball, lofting it deep into the woods to the right of the fairway.
Being the golfing gentleman that you are, you help your opponent look for his ball. Just before the permitted five minute search period ends, your opponent says: "Go ahead and hit your second shot and if I don't find it in time, I'll concede the match."
You hit your ball, landing it on the green, stopping about 10 feet from the pin. About the time your ball comes to rest, you hear your opponent exclaim from deep in the woods: "I found it!" The second sound you hear is a click, the sound of a club striking a ball and the ball comes sailing out of the woods and lands on the green, stopping no more than six inches from the hole.
Now here is the ethical dilemma:
Do you pull the cheating bastard's ball out of your pocket and confront him with it or do you keep your mouth shut?

That's funny something very similar happened to me. Knowing the sorry SOB that I was playing with, as I walked up to the final green after hitting the shot of a lifetime, I was loudly talking to my caddy about losing a ball in the very same area during my practice round and just very glad I found my ball this time when it counted!! Most of the time the first liar just doesn't stand a chance on the links.
