Isn’t that the facility where they have the welding training? I was told they are doubling the number of welding booths so the can keep up with so many applicants. Those kids are getting a good career with high paying jobs straight out of high school and no student loans to repay.

Daym, they knocked it out of the park!Super nice facilities for our athletes. I can see many schools wanting their playoff games played in those venues.

GPISD released an aerial tour of what the new facilities will look like. Pretty damn awesome! All 3, indoor facility baseball & softball are all under construction now. I haven’t seen a schedule that shows an approximate completion date yet but they should be ready sometime in the fall.

Indoor Multipurpose is Spring 2025/Fall 2025. From what I heard Baseball/Softball would be ready for next season.

I just saw the rendering. It's pretty damn awesome. Upgrade your stadium to match and you'll be one of the best in the state easily.

The Early Childhood Center is set to open in August.
IMO, this will one of the finest educational facilities in South. It is massive and impressive and beautiful!
Eighteen (18) of the thirty-eight classrooms will be theme-based experience rooms ready for exploration and learning and are the primary classrooms for prekindergarten students.
School teachers will collaborate with all the students versus having desk in the classroom.
The ROI on this will off the charts.
Thanks to all GPISD voters making this happen.
As I stated before, with all the incoming families and businesses- there is something brewing in Portland and we will not know the impact for about 10 years.
The incoming families are benefiting as The GPISD facilities are exceptional for all students and new families.

The indoor facility and the baseball and softball facilities took priority over the other projects for now. In a future bond there will be major upgrades to the stadium and there are plans in the works to have an indoor Natatorium with the Olympic size pool for our swimming & Diving teams. They have been relegated to the Northshore pool for years and do train at times at the Natatorium over next to Cabaniss The planning comittee is working hand in hand with Dr Cavasos and the school board to make good thing happen for our athletes and students.

Awesome facilities Although I'm not sure what the need is for covered seating at a baseball or softball game since they don't play when it rains. lol

Are the multiple white buildings off to the side a business district, part of the school, or homes?
The facilities are awesome! The reason for my question is two fold. First tax purposes, if that is business district, woowee y'all got a gold mine to feed upkeep of those facilities! If it's the school not so much. If it's homes, that's not as good as having businesses but still that's tax money for upkeep. Secondly, the long ball out of the park. If it's school property, no complaints to be handled. Businesses won't complain too much unless you damage a multi-million dollar project from a homerun ball crashing through it. Home owners are a pain in the rump! The nag about balls coming into their yards and the school will get all kinds of calls about it. But hopefully no little kids get dinged by a ball while playing in their yard because that would just be awful!
Anyway, GP definitely stepped up and delivered some amazing facilities for those deserving kids over there.
