Previous coach knew they were going to be terrible so he bounced before he got blamed. This guy realized how bad it is and is bouncing now before the worst part comes. Exactly. And I said as much on my post about this and his wife came after me in the comments lmao.

Rockport should be one the better overall athletic programs and ISDs in South Texas. Facts. On my post I also pointed out that they uniquely have some size and talent that you don't see much of South of San Antonio but they don't have the "football culture" to make the most of it.

Pico you left out of but I understand what you are saying. It is a great place to fish and that may be why Country singer George Strait parks his million dollar yacht over there. The town has a lot of retirees and Winter Texans in the winter. They have a shopping mall now and don't have to travel to Corpus to shop. The Rockport Airport is busy for a small town. You never know what Country Singer you will meet on the street there. great restaurants. There is no telling how many Football coaches go fishing there off season. Hire a Veteran Head Coach who is near retirement to coach your Junior High players. I have a relative there that parks his boat at his backdoor dock. Rockport has had some pretty good teams in the past. They produced a player for the Dallas Cowboys one time. Why are you telling everyone on here with an IQ above their shoe size everyone knows? You are in every thread and derailing it. A) did you know back in the late 90's that Rockport had an indoor facility that had turf from Kyle field? Na you didn't, but I did. Like ccg and jg stated, RF had some pretty good runs in the late 90's. They ran off a good coach and haven't been the same ever since. You tell gp55 to address Anastacio as coach, but ol' Bluecat addresses coaches on a 1st name bases like he knows them. Now back to Anastacio Oops sorry coach Anastacio. Good guy, helluva player, but not AD/HC material. I would go far to say he is a mediocre DC. I do think he would make a good LB coach in an elite program. AT BEST.

But Castellano wanting to leave Alice after only one year would be a Shocker!

It's also just a rumor, could be false. My guess is several members of the community not wanting to support the kids unless it benefits their pockets, the superintendent being a freak, and the fact that he lives in refugio still?

He still lives in Refugio? That wasn't in his contract that he live in Alice?

I don't know details, just heard he still lived in refugio and stays in his office at times so he doesn't have to make the drive. I could be wrong though, I don't live in Alice so it's just what I've heard.

If this indeed true about Castellano, I'd be extremely disappointed. He said all the right things that expressed his commitment to the program. The vibe that I get speaking to parents, is he's happy there. Kids have bought in, he's got the support of community, superintendent, and school board. Theres good young talent coming up. Anything he wants, he gets...except the new stadium. Does that play into it? Maybe but to leave the team high and dry in May?? That doesn't sit right with me.
