Calallen has officially hired our new OC and DC. Board approved the hires this morning. New OC is the current OC at Tyler Chapel Hill. New DC is coming from Smithson Valley. Both schools played in the state title game last season. Charlie isn't messing around! Excited to see what happens next! Go Cats! Holy moly on the Cal hires! Thatโs a ton of great knowledge on that staff now, and Smithson Valley puts out some hard nosed defenses, I am very excited. To snag the Tyler CH OC is damn impressive. Canโt wait.

My fellow Calallen voters did the right thing.
And congrats to the Alice folks. You did the right thing for your kids too.

Alright alright alright.
Glad the Cal bond passed although we still have 46% of our motivated voting base that needs to have their heads examined. This is why bond votes should always be in November when a Federal or statewide election is on thr ballot. Works for the City almost all the time.
And yes Alice voters should be given kudos for cancelling out their against everything crowd.

I worked up in East Texas for many many years, and let me tell you TCH was WOW! Those kids played some dang ball! I am really curious how this works out. I think watching TCH, Carthage, and Gilmer games were some of the best football I have seen at the high school level. If any of yโall have a chance get up to East Texas and watch a football game live the environment is insane!

DeSoto and Duncanville being 2 of those... just really great football...

All you have to do is go on Smoaky football forum and you will be reminded daily by the posters. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area you have those huge school districts that draw in the most talent into their programs. In the piney woods areas football is King and itโs created the Surratt program in Carthage. That program is a magnet that yearly draws in the most talented players in East Tx. The Gilmers and the Celina programs are also yearly having very deep runs into the playoffs. These schools are not in high population areas and the average salaries run in the lower range due to mostly lumber industries in the areas. Those schools provide the best coaches and programs and that is why the most talent move to those programs and get the best chance to get a college scholarship.

Like I was saying very few programs in the state come close. You have to go up to 6A in my opinion to get there. It's insane the level they play at out there...

Chappell Hill destroyed people offensively. They have been extremely dominant. If Callalen has the right personnel in place they may be able to put up some big numbers offensively. I would expect them to start a little slow, but by the time District hits watch out.

I honestly was thinking of them as 6A. I also don't want you to think I am discounting the CS, SV, and CP type of programs. Those are good, very dang good! No disrespect to any of those programs at all. They are all very very good.
