We got the right guy. I spoke to him at the meet and greet and was impressed that he knows the task that is in front of him. It’s not a program rebuild, but more like reinforcing the foundation to make it strong for the foreseeable future. I’m excited about what he brings to the table. I also think this will help seal the deal and pass our athletic bond next month. This community has been in a sour mood since last August and it finally feels like that has been reversed. Might be playoffs third round before any judgement can be made. That district will make Cal look like the '85 Bears.

Moody and Ray and the riffraff of ccisd suckage doesn't do anything but pad wins. It doesn't prep you for playoffs, and that crap district is not going to either. Calallen has a much better non district schedule than their neighbors. So at least they'll be ready.

Saw this on social media that a former Calallen Wildcat posted. Sounds like we got a good one! I
As an alumni of Calallen ISD (Class of 2014) and a former student-athlete who was coached by Charlie Reeve during my time attending UTSA (Class of 2018), I feel obligated to express a ton of gratitude towards the school board members and all others involved in making this hire.
I was raised under the tutelage of Coach Phil Danaher and Steve Campbell. The standard of winning, dedication, and family set by those men over decades at Calallen is a standard that will never be met again.
But the Coach Reeve I know, the same guy who would literally sprint to the practice field before allowing a player to get there before him, the same guy who would wait on the field for his guys to finish post-practice conditioning to make sure he was the last man off the field, the same guy who only missed one single practice/workout in the two full calendar years that I played under his leadership, that guy will move Heaven and Earth to get the best out of his players.
While the public will measure his success by wins and losses, as they should, the parents of Calallen ISD have already won. Your child will be better prepared to take on this world after learning from Coach Reeve.
I encourage everyone passionate about Calallen athletics to welcome Coach Reeve and his family to the community.
We are blessed to have him.

I am happy for them too.. as all student athletes deserve the best mentors/coaches. I was asking cause i didn’t see too much chatter on this subject last year on the forums.

There was a thread started last year but if I remember correctly it was taken over by discussions of Czech, Polish and German weddings as well as grass fed beef lol..... But ya I was overwhelmed with the hire at VE last year!

Wouldn’t that be something to see Reeve vs Reeve in Victoria. Travis at El Campo & Charlie at Cal.

I wouldn’t be surprised if ElCampo is scheduled for non district next realignment

Those Ricebirds linemen are some big boys and they always have good running backs. Rueben Owens is in aggieland now but the always have talent in the pipeline. With Travis and his staff they will get better each year.

Bay city has a RB, Jada Williams, that will be a senior this year. Not the biggest dude but the young man is quick and can flat out fly......
