For the Horns it was your super bowl, for Alabama it was just another September Saturday. Alabama usually don't lose on a September Saturday. JS No they do not. AL may be in some trouble. Though Milrose is one hell of an athlete, I am not sold yet on if he will be anywhere near on par with the QBs AL has had the last 7-8 years. Like last year, I also don't see the WR talent like the Tide had been producing. UT absolutely took it to them Saturday and lit them up. That AL defense has a long, long ways to go to be a championship contender. Again, none of this is any kind of knock on UT because they kicked their azz in their house and that takes something for sure.

For the Horns it was your super bowl, for Alabama it was just another September Saturday. Btw that same Rice team you ridiculed last week beat the UofH last night. The same Cougar High who beat a respectable UTSA in week one. And I’d worry about your Aggies because they looked awful against a mediocre Miami. Start a GoFund me for Jimbo’s buyout and your new coach’s billion dollar contract. Lol! You're really grasping out for straws if trying to build up Rice, UH, and UTSA as tough competition to inflate your strength of schedule. They are respectable teams but hardly worth trying to build up as solid completion for national power programs. The Miami team I saw was no slouch, Canes offense was clicking and their defense was fast and stout. The Aggie defense needs some work, but the offense was doing good all game. They had two bad turnovers that cost them the game, A fumble on their own side of the field and an INT because a wideout slipped and fell. Weigman is the real deal, he was throwing missiles, making plays with his legs while taking some big shots, and kept coming back. No need to hit the panic button. The one thing Horns fans don't seem to understand about the SEC is that type of game is ever week for 6-8 weeks, You don't have all offseason to plan for one big game in the SEC. Congratulations you beat Bama now you can go play the likes of Kansas, UH, and Baylor for the next four weeks. While A&M preps for Auburn, Bama, Tennessee, and Arkansans.

Those teams you listed would be average in the Power five conferences because they really haven't done much to put them at the same level as Bama, UGA and LSU. In case you were not paying attention, Kansas is not the Kansas of a few years ago. Baylor should've beaten Utah who beat Florida like a drum just a week ago albeit they lost a headscratcher to a much improved Texas State team. And where did I hype them up a solid competition? I just noted Rice is better than the Rice teams of the not so distant past and no one can dispute UTSA has earned the respect of the college football world with their rankings in the Top 25 last year and they might get back their this year. You forget to note the Aggies got their first two TD's off gifts from Miami. Let's clear the air , the Miami you played is still no where close to the Miami of old (they were 5-7 last year) . Better? Yes. But a long way to go as you will see as they get into ACC play. You all are going to have to soon accept your administration jumped the gun big time to bring in Jimbo and it's going to be a costly to fix. There is a reason the Florida State big cigars and fan base were not crying over spilt milk when you swooned in and took him off their hands. True they went into the wilderness for a few years themselves, but are on the road to fixing that as witnessed by their performance last year and this year so far.

Bottom line Jimbo addressed the offense which is hands down better this year. Too bad the defense and special teams appear to have been forgotten and have slipped significantly. Miami is a solid team but not an offensive juggernaut and they lit that a&m defense up like a Christmas tree. I'm and Aggie fan and spent a lot of money sending my daughter there but facts are facts and the sad truth is that his job as a HC is to coach the entire team and that isn't happening! Everyone knew why the offense was so bad last year and it was due to playing tons of true freshman but the fact of that matter is that is still squarely on him because it isn't like he arrived at a&m 2 years ago and had to all of a sudden rebuild with tons of freshman. That is not developing and keeping the kids that he recruited 3-4 years prior! He is the one making top college HC FB pay and is the one that should be taking the heat!

So I can't stand the SEC. Georgia though is dang good and I respect them. I can't stand any of the other sec teams, other than LSU (route for them in honor of my late pastor).
I'm all in for FSU, win or lose I'm a Nole fan for life. I cheer for the Horns against SEC and Oklahoma. The SEC is definitely not living up to the hype this season. The bottom feeders of the Big 12 are embarrassing this season too.
The one thing I hate about the SEC is their bias towards and for certain teams. For instance my #8 Noles beat their #5 LSU pretty handily. Dropping LSU out of the top 10. On the other hand, #11 Texas went into #3 Bama and broke every streak they had, and beat them handily. They barely drop to #10. That's stupid! They should drop down into the low teens or 20s after losing that game.
As for the title, Georgia is still on a different level compared to every other team. I will be surprised if they don't go undefeated and win it all again.

Yup you can hate on the SEC all you want as well as on Alabama for not dropping lower but when you've owned college football like the SEC has the past 25 years (BCS era) that is what happens. SEC - 15 BCS titles (6 teams) ACC - 5 BCS titles (3 teams) Big10 - 2 BCS titles (1 team) Big12 - 2 BCS titles (2 teams) Pack12 - 1 BCS title

SEC - 15 BCS titles (6 teams) ACC - 5 BCS titles (3 teams) Big10 - 2 BCS titles (1 team) Big12 - 2 BCS titles (2 teams) Pack12 - 1 BCS title I agree they've had dominance obviously, but to pretend that the entire conference is elite is just idiotic. LSU is SEC and they dropped 14 spots losing to FSU who was only 3 spits behind them. Texas was not in the top 10 and Bama was 4 or 5 depending on the poll, getting whooped at home should have dropped them by at least 14 too. They (the media/pollsters) did this in the 90s with USC when everything was about the PAC 10 and making USC the anointed one. USC had 4 losses and they were still in the top 25, which they didn't deserve but the media wouldn't get off their jock. Now that ESPN owns the SEC network, that's who they shove down everyone's throat. When a team beats them, it becomes like certain posters on here. It's never because that other team is/was better, it's always because the SEC school did something to let the other team win. I can't stand that nonsense. Just give the other team props and move on. Georgia is 1000000% deserving of #1, they should be the only SEC school in the top ten at this point. Texas is deserving of top 10, FSU deserving of top 10, USC deserving of top 10, Ohio State deserving of top 10, Michigan deserving of top 10, Penn State deserving of top 10, Notre Dame deserving of top 10, Washington deserving of top 10, and Oregon is deserving of top 10. Tennessee should be 11, Ole Miss 12, Colorado 13, Miami 14, Utah 15, K-State 16, , Chokelahoma 17, LSU 18, Bama 19, Oregon State 20, UNC 21, Duke 22, Washington State 23, UCLA 24, and Iowa 25. There will be multiple losses in Bama and LSU's future, and most likely Tennessee and Ole Miss as well. But I also foresee several of these 2-0 and 3-0 teams having losses as well, and not just 1 loss but multiple ones.

NOBODY is saying that each and every school in the SEC is elite.

No where did I say these teams were even close to elite status, they are just not as bad as you described them this season. You and other diehard SEC boys and girls seem to think the league has a lot of parity from top to bottom . It really doesn’t like it might have 10 years or so ago. Right now it’s Bama and UGA with an occasional LSU and then everyone else. Bama and UGA are elite where as the rest are teams are not the intimidating monsters that you want to believe make opponents of similar caliber scared.

It's based on head to head wins in non-conference and bowl games as well. You will soon see that in the SEC the Horns will have no Kansas teams to play...........NONE!

The one thing about the SEC, who is the best conference BTW, is that there are too many teams. The SEC has 2-3 elite teams, 2-3 really good teams, and everyone else is no different than a middle of the road team anyone where else. But with the size of the conference it stretches the schedules too thin, so you’re only playing 1 elite team and 2 good teams each year, then a bunch middle of the road guys. Adding Texas and OU is only going to stretch it thinner.
I don’t like where college football is heading.
