On Directv what channel are these games? All they can find at this restaurant is some army high school all star game or some crap. AT&T U-verse channel 1756 (HD) or 756.

From Professor Matt Diggs: I don't want to be too critical of #UILState - because there are a lot of things I like about how things have progressed over the last few years. This is a beautiful stadium and this is a well run situation. Everything is done top flight, well organized and well run. BUT... Maybe there will be some evidence to share why I'm wrong - and maybe I am, but I think #UILState has really priced a lot of the casual fans out of coming to experience this. Parking is $25 bucks. We know how much concessions are. Even admission tickets have gone up in price.. Good grief here we go. Just like the swallows returning to Capistrano.

Well, Let's see. out of 11 State Championship games (so far) only 3 have been within 10 points. Not worth it to drive to Dallas, pay a small fortune in Tickets, Parking, Hotel for three nights if not 4, Food. Just to watch 8 blowouts when all most fans really care about is 1 game. The product on the field is bad this year. Love all the hard work put in by the players, Coaches, Band, Cheerleaders and support staff this season. But in reality, this has been pretty boring Football as a whole.
Definitely not worth the time and money. Not to mention work hours lost or Vacation Time used. Especially for those of us on a pension.

Congratulations, Duncanville and other schools! UIL, please use promotion and relegation for next realignment.

But in reality, this has been pretty boring Football as a whole. Definitely not worth the time and money. Not to mention work hours lost or Vacation Time used. Especially for those of us on a pension. When I went to Jerryworld in 2016, it was easily $500 or a tad more for four of us for the entire two-day trip. Of course, gas was a tad cheaper, but it was at least two tank refuels in a 2015 GMC Yukon. Hotel Room for four was around $150-200 because they all go up if you want to be closer to the stadium, and they cast a large net around that radius. Meals we tried to limit ourselves to one sit-down place each day and took advantage of the notable convenience stores/restaurants (like Bucees) along I-35 for the more self service options. Then tickets for four to the game, parking, and concessions which were limited to a $6 bottle of water. I could see that trip being closer to $700-$800 dollars today for the same number of people. This year it would've only been two of us, so maybe closer to the $500 range or a little less if we decided to book it back south after the game to avoid the overnight hotel. Last time we had really no choice, thanks to the time the game started and ended. I do think it's shame to lower classifications get put in these crap time slots for their games. Here's a solution since the State sports media and the UIL think it's given it should stay in DFW until Jerryworld crumbles. One of the reasons they say it should stay is because the number of DFW area teams that participate are in the immediate DFW area or within a couple of hours drive and thus makes it a "central location" according to many of them and it's so much has been stated on this board too. SOOOOOOOOO, why not let the big boys (most of the DFW area teams are 5A and above) start the party on Thursday then and wrap it up with the schools and communities (most are 4A on down) who have to travel further and accommodate them with the time slots on Friday and Saturday? It's wishful thinking. But if the UIL and the state sports media were really concerned about the kids, parents, schools, and communities involved in this thing, they might consider it. It doesn't eliminate the costs, but it sure does give some of the other communities a chance to fully get engaged.

All the entity's up there want it to continue and will continue their DFW Bias to achieve that. AND complaining will label others as whiners with no legit argument. Just see the Spreadsheet already posted by DCTF'S own Greg Tepper as proof of the bias. It's going to continue in DFW.

So darn condescending. Don't think for a minute the DFW area schools would like to use that same argument to move other championships up there. I can see them argue >>>> Baseball- new rangers park and the old park next door. Basketball- Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Volleyball is already in Garland. Soccer- Frisco I'm sure the state band directors up there would love to move State Band to Jerry world. The let them have crumbs attitude of the DFW is nauseating at times. That's why I avoid it as much as possible.
