Amen. My wife was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago and she's undergoing chemo right now. Prognosis is good and she's under the care of some of the best Docs in the business up at MD Anderson. She'll do Chemo until August and then have surgery to remove the mass. We pray the chemo does the work so she doesn't have to have surgery. But if she has surgery, that will be the end game an radiation and further chemo won't be needed. Praying for you and your wife. My mom was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, didn't handle the treatments well, but it was eliminating the tumor. She had to have a mastectomy to completely remove it though. The different treatments they offer now are definitely better than when my dad survived his cancer in the 70s. But ultimately abuse at a rehab facility after a stroke took my mom from us. Sorry to hear that about your mother. Some of those rehabs do a wonderful job while others are operated by idiots who deserve to be behind bars for stuff that has gone down under their watch. Cancer treatments have come along way like you noted. My mom had cancer in the late 80's which ultimately carried over after a brief remission to the early 90's when she passed away in 1994. Back then it was cut the cancer out first and zap with radiation and chemo at the same time and then deal with the disfigurement later at your own cost . Now it's almost the opposite for many women and at many hospitals if they have to do surgery, the reconstruction is done right away and many insurance plans will cover it. Never understood even back then if a lost my leg to cancer, insurance would've cover my prosthetics and rehab even though I could still function without a leg with the assistance of wheel chair or crutches. But in women's case it was considered cosmetic?

Yeah they asked my mom if she wanted reconstructive surgery, she told them no, and that she'd even be ok if they wanted to go ahead and remove both cause she's had to carry them around for 75 years, it was time for a break... 🤣🤣🤣 my mom and her sense of humor... she was still sarcastic and cracking jokes til her last days... so glad I got that from her, it has made life definitely more amusing being able to laugh...

It's colder than a well digger's azz in January in Alaska! Damn, at 3pm we are still at 28 here at our place and haven't been above freezing since very early yesterday morning. Hit a low of 19 this morning and likely be colder tonight.
Sure glad I'm at work and wifey poo had school canceled so she is the one breaking ice on the water troughs!!! lmao
