This district is loaded with good running backs. Earles definitely is one of the better ones for sure. No doubt Some very good ones for sure! Earles isn't the fastest, the strongest, and certainly isn't th biggest but he runs it with heart. He has very good balance and good quickness along with good vision. He has a good 'wiggle' that makes him slippery inside as well. The kid runs much bigger than he is that is for sure. If the QB is not back then if Alice staff has a brain they will throw the kitchen sink at stopping Earles and make somebody else on Cal's offense beat them!

Earls is just as good as any back from those teams and what Miller has on the table too. When he’s healthy he’s as good as any running back Calallen has ever had. Wohhhhh nelly. Tap the brakes a little He is a good RB no doubt but that is a big, BIG statement you just made. There was a kid some years back who had the all-time TX rushing record for many years and had a familiar sounding last name that was without a doubt the standard all other RBs at Calallen an be compared to. I like Earles but he is not at that level.

exactly!! But coyotes2024 listeners to the dads who will make up other reasons for leaving Alice to save face. They are not gonna tell people cuz their son isn’t starting Qb. Salinas knee he would have to wait till Jr year with Aguilar here and Camarillo wanted it now! Your mouth makes zero sense. He transferred to Calallen not Robstown. There was even LESS of a guarantee of playing in Calallen than in Alice and he still left. Because it had nothing to do with wanting to start. Stop making excuses for your buddies in charge. Dead on Chino. I was wondering when someone was going to post this.

I have absolutely nothing against Alice. Your kids play hard all the time. Why are Alice folks always against Alice folks? You would think everyone would support your own team. Im sure your coaches put who they think gives them the best opportunity to win. I don’t know, I’m not from there. It’s just what it seems like. I agree. I know during the regular season on the field there is no love lost between both schools... But some of the most noticeable support during our deep playoff runs has been from the good folks from Alice. Always a few there in San Antonio or even up at Jerryworld for the state game in their UT like burnt orange. So it’s very discouraging to see this on going circular firing squad. No doubt They were a pain in my azz back in the late 90s when Clemens played the Cats in A-town! lmao Just joking around. We had 8-10 Alice folks sitting next to us that night and thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth ribbing and some great conversation.

In theory your logic makes sense but not in this case because the Calallen backup can throw, the starter couldn't. And Alice's weakness on D is the secondary so this actually works out even better for Calallen. So throwing the kitchen sink to stop Earles would be a bad idea.

Anyone know if more kids have come out for football since the Beeville win? Or are their numbers going to be low all year?

Well at least the younger kids will be able to gain experience. Hopefully that will help the next couple years.

Anyone know if more kids have come out for football since the Beeville win? Or are their numbers going to be low all year? varisty just pulled a few freshman and sophs to pad their numbers. Subvarsity teams actually lost kids due to aisd rule of mandatory face to face learning if participating in any uil activity.

So if I understand you right, some elected to quit versus going back to school instead of learning via the internet?
