Holy Cross High School is where he is going That makes sense since the QB slot at Cornerstone is solid. Really I don't understand why transfers like this don't occur earlier in the kids career like maybe their Sophomore years in order to clear the mud. If DEC , with the UIL confirming it was strictly for athletic purposes, the kid can go back to original school or go to a plan B if that is not possible and get their Junior/Senior seasons in without a cloud hanging over them. It really does a diservice to two parties. One being the kid himself. But also the school who is taking him in where they might have planned to utilize him a whole bunch.

Well both were ruled ineligible by the district committee 6-0 for playing this year with Judson. Surely they will appeal the decision. I don't know Butler's situation but I can guarantee you that Battle's situation is going to get appealed and overturned and if it doesn't, they will sue the crap out of the district and win. It is absolutely pathetic that his transfer was even brought up when his dad was commuting from the Brandeis area to the Judson area every day for work and moved to avoid that. SMDH What is the most pathetic about it BNB is that if these two kids were average players we would have never read about their transfers at all much less seen a jealous bunch of district committee members do this! So, How did he transfer for Athletic Purposes when his family Moved, Like Packed their stuff and relocated to another district. But It's ok if he were to go back to his old school and he'd be allowed to play immediately. This makes absolutely no sense at all. the rest of that district is SCARED of a Teenage Kid. SMDH. And don't give me the Only 20 miles BS. If he moved across District boundary. He should be going to that school.

It's not like he moved in with an aunt, uncle, or even a friend. His family picked up and moved. smdh There has to be more to it than what has come out in the media

So if he was awesome and the original school was awesome but his family moved over to another school district that maybe wasn’t as good and he stayed with someone like you mentioned, if the rest of the district found out about it... they’d be up in arms about it! This is no different. This smells like someone reversed their original decision & cried to the UIL.
