I think the list is a good start...LOL I concur with this list but just from the top of my head I might consider...DL-Kessler (1998), OT-Hix, CB-Cunningham and QB-Loftin (some of these may have been listed and I missed them). You pushed me into making my own list which really will be fun. Once done I'll share it and see what you and others may think. I will consider this years seniors but not lower. Would be fun to see the same type of list from other schools from the last 25 years. I would be curious to see how Aledo's "all time best team" would stack up competitively. I have an opinion but best to have that discussion during the off season. Thanks for taking the time to make this list. My caveat for this list is that they had to have hudl highlights. Which started around 2011 ish. If we did just an all time list then my answers might change some. But then again maybe they don't. In regards to how we stack up, I'd bet we are a little undersized but those kids were tenacious. We'd compete with the best of them. *If Hejny has a great season throwing then he might beat out Davis for QB. I failed to read the written instructions. My hudl highlighted ultimate Aledo team was almost identical except for a few players. I did change my DE to Jaxson after watching his highlights. I forgot how dominate he could be. Our biggest difference is at QB. I have Luke as my first choice and his brother Jake as honorable mention. And Hejny is honestly first already so everyone will have to move down a notch. I too had Keys as my LB as he has played since he was a soph. However I remember a game where our LB Hale was playing and the opponents RB just fell down several times during the game instead of getting hit by him. Also no doubt in my mind if Hudl was around longer I would have Kessler (1998) , R. Christian, Hix, Cunningham, Loftin and Blowers on the list. And if you should ask me who is my epitome of a Aledo Bearcat, I would say watch any highlights you can find of Ryan Christian. Not the biggest player but fast, hardnose and don't ask him to run through a brick wall unless you wanted it rebuilt.

I watched it live from the sidelines during the playoff games! He was a senior when I was a sophomore. I played with Kyle and Cole. No doubt both were really good players, however, I dont think either break into the starting line up. Even Brock Newton might have a hard time. Crazy to say that but its true. Also the reason I picked Davis over the Bishops is Davis' arm. With the weapons around the QB, I wanted the best passer. Granted you dont get the dual threat component but if they are stopping all those players then we are going to lose anyway.

Are you still starting Hejny at QB? Also has anyone from this team earned a spot on your all hudl team?

And I'm thinking that Allen and Johnson could be considered best corners but will need to look back after the season. Ryan Christian is my all time epitome of an Aledo Bearcat, Keys is my all time Aledo defensive player and Gray my all time offensive player. And saying what you already know, the hudl list could change with the soph class that is coming up!

Freshman: TD vs Crosby when he wasnt even close to the slant. Sophomore: Big TD catch against Oak Cliff. Junior: TD bomb against Longview. But I did consider Chris Johnson over Demarco but I dont think I can do it. Demarco had such a dog in him. My kinda corner. Uber competitive.

Interceptions are becoming concerning but if I need to win one game I take Hejny because of his arm, legs and athleticism. Luke and Jake (2nd and 3rd) both also won hugh come back wins just with their competitive will and speed but maybe not the same arm strength or speed that Haus has. I know you like Dillion, who could throw a ball 70 yards on a dime but dont think I would change my mind on my top 3.

I dont think he is as good as Rosson either.

Updated. As great as this senior class was, its going to be very difficult to get on this list. I really did consider Hauss as the starting QB but all the interceptions since the Denton Ryan game have to be accounted for. Gillespie makes the list because he is a dog! He was going to set the tone on defense and I really appreciate how physical he was as a player! *Dempsey is still trending towards making the starting list ( www.hudl.com/video/3/18066477/657e34e2d225750878aa39e7 ). Just needs to stay healthy these next two seasons.

Dillion was phenomenal as a QB and team leader. However on my list, Hauss makes top QB. I agree his late seasons interceptions have to be accounted for, but Dillon actually had more interceptions (11) his championship year, with some in the playoffs.

Looking into the future, this list will change as the population increases thus the home-grown talent will as well. Everybody keeps bringing up recruiting. Just a reminder that for kids transferring in from private schools or kids moving into a school district at the middle school level is not sanctioned by the UIL. Every district has this same equal opportunity. And when you have a community that values the kid's success in all activities and is willing to hold their kids to a high standard of achievement and allow the coaching staff from the pee wee level all the way up through the ranks to instruct and mentor at a high level, then it results in 12 state championships and counting. It has been these values that have been sustained at a high level of commitment from the community and kids.

This offseason you should put together your list! It would be interesting to see.

And honestly, you don't have 72,000 UIL agents like the IRS has, to monitor every single wrongdoing by all the school districts. Fact is that the landscape has changed. You can't sanction where parents choose to send their kids to school. It's pretty much open campus in every district these days. If a kid lives outside the district they can still go there for a fee and as long as there is a means to get them to and from. No big secrets.
