Crap load of grading and watching the Raiders tonight. Any beer suggestions? "The Raiders!" If you want a great sipping beer to last a while a large bottle of Belgian Ale. Chimay Rouge (Red) is 7% Alcohol and Chimay Bleue (Blue) is 9% Alcohol. I prefer Chimay Red. Great to sip on while doing something plus the large bottles last better than 12 oz bottles. If you can find any remaining Oktoberfest beers, especially Paulaner or even Sam Adams. If you want a taste of Texas then Shiner Bock or Shiner Blonde are good.

I went to the CC Spec's this evening to see if I could find #2 or #3, but was unsuccessful. I have already tried #1, but do not like it as much as the Stout. The best Dopplebock is Celebrator Dopplebock by Ayinger (Germany). The next best is Salvator Dopplebock by Paulaner (Germany). Now talk about thick as Motor Oil, that would be Sam Adams Triple Bock.

I love the flavor of Guiness, but I have trouble putting it down by itself. The new bar/grill in town actually has it on tap along with Sam Adams and Bass, so I usually treat myself to the black and ______ mixtures to make it more drinkable. The Paulaner Doppelbock was righteous stuff. I liked their Oktoberfest too. I haven't tasted the Santo stuff yet, but I've liked everything I've tried by St. Arnold's so far.
